Hi, I’m Ilysse Kracow, and here is my story of how Soul Slopz came to be.

I was a regular employee working for a telecommunication company. Then I branched out and started a successful telecommunication firm that I owned and operated for over 15 years. But my creativity, which was lying dormant, and my passion for socks prompted me to start a completely different business venture.

I’ve been obsessed with socks from a very early age. I always had a drawer full of wacky, unique, and fun socks. I collected socks for many years and needed several drawers to house all of them. I was so obsessed with socks, I would wear them around the house, walking the dog, checking the mail, etc. I realized my socks were always wearing out and I was always buying new ones (although I had drawers-full already). I thought about how great it would be to be able to wear the socks everywhere, so I got the idea “How about putting soles on them?!”  From there, I spent a couple years securing a patent and working on a prototype for my socks with soles, aka “sidewalk socks”. It took a lot of time to make sure they were not only comfortable but durable as well. I also wanted to be sure they were high quality and tried out several different socks and soles. I finally found a high quality sock, added a leather insert inside, keeping your foot in place, and bottomed it off with a rubber sole to protect the sock and make them wearable everywhere. I found the perfect combination of all parts. Voila: Soul Slopz were born! 

The outcome has been amazing and the response from the public incredible. I get many compliments while wearing them shopping, walking, riding my bike, and any other day to day activities. They are manufactured in many sizes from infants to adults. Children love them as much as the adults do and parents love that their children won’t take them off like shoes, because like me, children hate wearing shoes. So  next time you go camping, skiing, shopping, or just plain lazing around, be sure to have your Soul Slopz available as they are perfect in any situation! They are versatile, comfortable, and durable. 

This was a big break for me, and it’s all worth it when I see people’s faces light up because they know they can wear their socks out to play! I’m sure you will enjoy your Soul Slopz sidewalk socks as much as I do and I am so happy to be able to share them with the world.
